Site Management

For site administrators, the Site Management screens are the heart of the LWNet CMS.  By selecting this option, the user is taken to the Site Management area of the system, and presented with a "tree-menu" of options in the left margin.

Management options are grouped into logical categories and listed in the menu.  Clicking a group will expand that group branch to reveal the available options within that group.  These include

  • Site setup, Content (file manager, upload file and trashcan)
  • Modules (Form builder, Announcements, Guest-book, Forums, Polls, Picture Gallery, MP3 player)
  • User management (Accounts, Mail-shot members)
  • E-Commerce (Products, Orders and Weight-bands).

Perhaps the most exciting section in the menu is the Modules list.  Modules are things like Forms, Guest-books, Forums, Google Maps, Picture Galleries, MP3 Players etc which can be created and configured prior to building / editing your pages.  You can insert any of these modules at any point on your page, and your page can contain as many or as few modules as you want (depending on which Modules are installed for you).

However there is no limit to the amount of a particular module you can have.  For example, you can have multiple pages with multiple picture galleries.  Each Gallery can have it's own title and description, and contain a set of pictures that is unique to that particular Gallery.  Images can also appear in more than one Gallery, making the system appear very flexible.

The same goes for the Google Maps, MP3 Player, and many more.  Once the module has been installed for you, you can created multiple instances of each one and place them anywhere you choose on your site!
